Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of London on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a three lap training ride with some sprints and good chatting. Brian was our sweeper for today, thanks mate.
As always we had an optional mini-race at the end of the ride and the challenge to catch our “red light” during the mini-race.

For the lead in lap we did around 2,6 W/kg until the first sprint. After the sprint was done we pushed more around 2,8 W/kg for the whole lap, around 3,2 W/kg on the bumpers. During the mini-race I stayed at pace around 3,2-3,4 W/kg.
Of course the focus for the laps are the sprints, three in total. Each lap the time was going down toward the below the 10sec mark, which S. Benton broke at the last sprint.

For the ladies we had Helen in green. Congrats to all our sprinters having fun truing to break the 10sec mark.

From our famous shopping building Harrods we had the start for out optional mini-race towards the finish line where the sprint banner for the loop is.
The racers were staying in the peloton for a while until they raised their numbers quite heavily to race towards the finish. It was interesting to see how they tried to be the first rider across the finish line.

Congrats to F. Callaghan, B. Smith and R. Gransmore for the podium.
Also thanks to our first timers for having fun with us for todays group ride in the virtual streets of London.
