Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of London on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a three lap training ride with some sprints and good chatting. Brian was our sweeper for today, thanks mate.
As always we had some sprints and an optional mini-race at the end of the ride and the challenge to catch our “red light” during the mini-race.

From the beginning I was going on a TT bike to check out if it’s possible to lead without knowing how much I have to push for a good pace for the group. Unfortunately, by pushing 3,5 W/kg the group was only going at around 2,6 W/kg. For that reason I asked for a stop to change my bike.
This was giving a little of a mass to bring all back together 😔
I try such things so you don’t have to 😉
During our laps we had two solid sprints with quite a good result.

Congrats to Vecchino for the fastest time – good job.
From our famous shopping building Harrods we had the start for out optional mini-race towards the finish line where the sprint banner for the loop is.
The racers were staying in the peloton for a short time until they raised their numbers quite heavily to race towards the finish. It was interesting to see how they tried to be the first rider across the finish line.

Quite a close result between the first two. Congratulation to B. Wu, B. Davison and J. Ferm for the podium.
