Zwift-GGCC Glasgow Green Saturday Training Ride 12/08

Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of London on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a three lap training ride with some sprints and good chatting. Brian was our sweeper for today, thanks mate.
As always we had some sprints and an optional mini-race at the end of the ride and the challenge to catch our “red light” during the mini-race.

For the good old lead-in lap we went at a power of 2,6 W/kg as a warm up. This lead-in lap was closed with the first sprint. The other laps we went at a power around 2,8-3,0 W/kg to keep the peloton together after every sprint.
And I can tell you, the sprinters took this chance seriously. Every lap it was a hard fight with some good numbers.

Congrats P. Baker for staying at the top of the list with quite a time.
Only because of the mini-race our mate Bruch could bring his name into the mix.

Speaking of the mini-race, from our famous shopping building Harrods we had the start for out optional mini-race. I was staying at a pace of around 3,4 W/kg with a group. But some riders went up front to fight for the podium. It was a good match where some riders pushed some good numbers following by some smaller groups.

Congrats to A. Kenyon, B. Wu and P. Baker for the podium.
Also thanks to all riders for having fun with us today.
