Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of New York on the “The 6 train” course on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a six lap training ride with no sprints this time. Of course we had our optional mini-race at the end of the ride.

We started a little low to warm up, but at the first climb we pushed much harder. This ride really was supposed to be a training ride to get stronger. All the climbs could make this happen. It was up to each rider to go uphill seated or standing up on the pedals, just to reach the higher numbers.
Unfortunately, I got a technical, my ANT antenna was quitting its job 😔
So I had to restart my whole system to a more incorrect bluetooth set-up. After catching up with the group pushing some higher numbers, we could be all together again. Thanks too all riders behaving that good and staying together while I was away. Also thanks to those helping me getting back to the group – nice job 👍🏻
All together we could moving on towards our last lap, which would be our optional mini-race.
Unfortunately, because of the reconnect I lost the fence control from Zwift (an issue for a while when reconnecting to a ride).
Happy to say we had Sarah Storey with us today, always welcome to our rides. And also a big thanks to our mate Roger B. for taking the red beacon today.
Because of a well behaving group I could bring all that wanted to race behind me before the lap banner. Meaning we had a fair start four our racer willing to go for the mini-race. And I have to say they went quite hard pulling away from the group.
The result list:

Congrats to B. Wu 🥇, F. la cour 🥈 and A. Hofer 🥉 for the podium.
And thanks to all for coming and playing with GGCC today 👍🏻
