Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of the Champs-Élysées on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a five lap training ride with an optional full lap mini-race at the end.
Thanks Damian, Roger, Ian for helping out – I was to sick for going strong 👍🏻

Because of my sickness, we started during the lead-in with an easy pace around 2,4-2,6 W/kg. From the lap banner on I tried staying with a steady 2,6-2,8 W/kg. By going at a more lower and steady pace this ride was more a recovery ride.
After the sprints we had quite a long group – but the fence was doing its job 🪦
For most riders this was a zone 2 with a little of zone 3 ride.
Of course each lap we had a good sprint. The first sprint was more like a test of legs, but after that our sprinters really tried everything to get fast times each lap.
Let’s check what numbers we got:

Congrats sprinters – nice job 🏆
And by going a little easier on our fourth lap we prepared our legs for the upcoming mini-race, but we also got the peloton tight together. As always, we started the race at the lap banner. Directly from the gun some guys went all in and they just went of.
Don’t forget to check the lap time for the “Champs-Elysées”:

9min on the point – good job Pistaccio 🏆
In the end, let’s check the results for the race:

Congrats to Pistaccio🥇, B. Wu🥈 and K. Andy🥉 for the podium.
Thanks to all riders for coming and riding with us today.
