Today I was leading our 6Points Mallorca team through the virtual streets of Scotland on the “Loch Loop” course on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a five lap training ride with an optional mini-race at the end of the ride, a full lap.

We started a little lower on pace for warming up the legs before going into the Breakaway Brae. Here it’s important keeping the power up through the steep bit to maintain a good pack position.
Our “sprinters” had three opportunities for getting the dotted jersey. Here we have the results:

Congrats to P. Niklasson for getting the KOM 🏆

Of course, as we know our racers they might get good numbers, during our optional minirace we have to do this climb again. As you already can see on the list above, the 5’th row is from the race, here a screenshot from the race crossing the KOM:

The fourth lap was more for relaxation getting the legs into race mode. Also on the climb we went at around 3,0-3,2 W/kg. Slowing down a bit towards the lap banner we grouped up for having a fair start for our racers.
From the banner the racing group, which was quite large, went at a much harder level. Up until the Breakaway Brae climb the group was good together. But from there on and on the other shorter climbs, the racers some racers went as hard as they could getting away from the group. The last hill towards the finish line really broke all racing groups apart and every rider tried as hard as possible doing the best time possible for the lap. And here we had one rider in the orange lap jersey.

And here we have the podium list from the race:

Congrats to S. Wei 🥇, B. Wu 🥈 and S. Ryom 🥉 for the podium.
Thanks to all riders for coming today and having fun with us.
Thanks to B. Wu we have a nice video from the race group.
