Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of Watopia on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a two lap training ride on the “Tick Tock” course.
We had two sprints of the “Fuego Flats” and our optional minirace at the end.
Thanks Roger B. and Ian P. for helping out today 👍🏻

We started with a quick warm-up part towards the first sprint. After that was done we went at a pace around 2,8W/kg for me at 71kg. Of course on the first lap we went at 3,2-3,4 W/kg at the climb, but only for the first lap.
Today the group were really close together for the best draft possible. The first sprint was not that fast which also made it easier having a tight peloton. The second sprint was much faster, but still we were close together – good job guys 👍🏻
Let’s check the sprint results:

Congrats to F.P8 for the best time of 31.14 🏆
Also for the finish of our optional minirace we went across the sprint line. What did our racers do?

Our optional minirace started at the tunnel which gave us 7km of racing. Right from the start we had guys going strong. After a while we were close together again all the way through the tunnel. At the bump out of the tunnel some guys tried, but at the bridge towards the desert they really went for a breakaway.
From there on we had a leading group racing and some other riders going strong. For the Fuego Flats we all gave our best for getting over the finish line at the best time possible.
Let’s check out the race result:

Congrats to B. Wu 🥇, F.P8 🥈 and R. Schomberg 🥉 on the podium.
Thanks to all riders for coming today and riding with us.

Txx Martin, I’ve put up my report based on this,
