Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of the Champs-Élysées on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a five lap training ride with an optional full lap mini-race at the end.
Thanks Andrew and Jam for helping out 👍🏻

We started during the lead-in with an easy pace around 2,6 W/kg. From the lap banner on I tried staying with a steady 2,8 W/kg (around 196W avg.). By going at a more lower and steady pace this ride was more a recovery ride.
Before the sprints we had quite a long group giving our sprinters quite a draft.
The first sprint already gave us the best time possible today, some could of course improve during the ride.
Let’s check what numbers we got in the end:

Congrats to H. Thank You for going in green – good job 🏆
After the sprinting was done we prepared for the minirace, bringing the group back together. By bringing the fence slowly down to 5sec and a little later to 2sec we had a fair start ready for our racers.
From the lap banner I gave the GO GO GO and the race was on. Quite early some riders went away from the now faster going peloton at around 3,4 W/kg.
The more kilometres we put into the last lap the more the racers went away from us, some we could catch up to. The last kilometres they pushed as hard as they could to get first over the line.
Let’s check the final results:

Congrats to Dylan 🥇, B. Wu 🥈 and H. Thank You 🥉 on the podium.
Thanks to all for coming and riding with GGCC today.
For more details check out Zwift Power.
Of course, we also have the results for the lap – good times folks:
