Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of the Flatland Loop on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a three lap training ride with some good sprints and an optional mini-race.
Thanks to Jam, Ian and Roger for helping out. Thanks to Jorge for going in red today – good job 👍🏻

We started at a good warm-up pace to get some blood into the legs. Every lap had two sprints, the Country Sprint and the Village Sprint. We only did the sprints on the first two laps because of the optional mini-race at the end, around 5,5km.
Today we had quite a strong group riding hard. This took the planned power output from 195-200W avg. more to 205W avg.
On each sprint of the two per lap our sprinters used their strong legs. We really had some hard sprinting with good numbers to show up. Let’s check the results for both of them:
Country Sprint:

Congrats to C. Binney for getting the green jersey here 🏆
Village Sprint:

Congrats to C. Lira for getting the green jersey here 🏆
Congrats to S. Harris for getting both jerseys for the ladies today 🏆
After the sprints were done and dusted I was leading the peloton towards the optional mini-race start.
Basically we went down in power a bit for preparation of our racers legs. Slowly I brought the fence down to 5sec first and 2sec before the race start. We had the group good together for having a fair race start.
Shortly after race start a good group went on a higher pace away from the peloton. I also had a good group with me behind the race leaders going at a good race pace. At around 1km left the pace went up and up until a good group sprint. Everyone tried and pushed everything left in their legs.
Let’s check out the results:

Congrats to M. Hammer 🥇, P. Hvidkjaer 🥈 and G. 🥉 for the podium – good racing 👍🏻
