Today, I guided our GGCC team through the virtual streets of the “Lutece Express.” We rode in Paris on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a five lap training ride with an optional full lap mini-race at the end.
Thanks to Jam and Roger for helping out – good job guys 👍🏻

We started during the lead-in with an easy pace around 2,6 W/kg. From the lap banner on I tried staying with a steady 2,8 W/kg. By going at a steady pace the sprinters focused on doing their job. And we had some very good sprints 💪🏻
The first sprint was already a good test of the sprinters legs. After that, our sprinters really tried everything. They aimed to get fast times and the green jersey. I always tried dragging the group at a higher pace. I raised the speed right before each sprint start. Today we really had a close one between the top 10 💪🏻
Let’s check what numbers we got:

Congrats to J. Taylor and Ana G. for going in green 🏆
Now the sprints were done and dusted. We took a more relaxing lap before we came to our optional minirace. I went at a little lower pace, but still good enough for having a good race start. In total we came up to a 202W average for the first four laps. This of course changed dramatically for the last lap 👹
We had a good group going at a good pace from the start line. For most of the lap we stayed together for the best drafting effect. At the “climb” up to the arch a smaller group went away.
In the end a hard sprint did sort the podium, let’s see:

Congrats to. A. Krupy 🥇, J. Taylor 🥈 and A. Rossi 🥉 on the podium.
Thanks to all riders for coming and riding with us today.

And of course, we also had the orange jersey 😉
