Today I led our GGCC team through the virtual streets of Makuri Island. We were on the “Electric Loop” course on the Zwift riding platform. In total, it was a five lap training ride. There were six sprints with an optional mini-race at the end of the ride.
Thanks to Jam for leading the red group today – good job 👍🏻

We started at 185W avg. and went up to 206W avg. trough the ride. Because the first sprint is a little close to the start, we skip that one.
Most of the last lap was our optional minirace where everybody can go at their own speed.
There are two sprints at each lap. Our sprinters had the opportunity doing each of them several times for getting the green jersey. We got some good numbers, let’s check:

Congrats to D. Newton and J. Nunes on the green jerseys 🏆
After the last sprint was done and dusted we had a calmer part for getting ready for the minirace. During the rest of that we got together again for starting the minirace at the “Alley Sprint” line.
I brought the fence slowly down first to 5sec and than to 2sec. Close to the lap end I went down with the power as well, around 2,6 W/kg.
The racers easily waited until the GO GO GO for staring the race. The main group raised the power quite towards the finish line. We were close together drafting until the end. Two riders went away from the racing group closer to the finish line. In total it was a tough ride, but strong from all riders.
Let’s check who got the win:

Congrats to D. Newton 🥇, J. Nunes 🥈 and O. FJMT 🥉 on the podium.
Thanks to all for coming and riding with us today.

Thanks Martin, I’ll get it published on our Zwift page later this afternoon. Good time, thank you!
