Zwift-GGCC Glasgow Green Saturday Training Ride 23-08-2025

Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of Scotland. We rode through the virtual streets of Glasgow and the Crit Circuit on the Zwift riding platform. The training ride was 12 laps in total. It included some sprints and KOMs. There was a two lap optional mini-race at the end.
Thanks to Jamie and JC for helping out today and Jam for leading the red beacon group 👍🏻

We started a little lower on wats around 2,6 W/kg from the start. During the ten laps we raised the bar bit by bit. I aimed for a 195 to 200 watt average in the first half. I targeted 200 to 210 watt for the last half before the mini-race.
During the ride there was some fun chatting going on. Sometimes the word IPA cam up, wander why 😁

During all those laps we had some sprints:

And of course there were some runs for the KOM:

Both jerseys were put onto the shoulders of I Oda – congrats 🏆

The last two laps were owned by our hard working racers. They started on a good pace from the start line. But during the run up the Clyde Kicker some guys really put down some numbers to run for the podium. Also on some other bumps riders tried, but in the end it cam to a group sprint.

Congrats to J. Taylor 🥇, M. Burmester 🥈 and T. Dean 🥉 on the podium.

Thanks to all participants for riding with us today – you make this fun possible 👍🏻
