Today I had the pleasure of leading our GGCC team through the fast and scenic Watopia Flat Route on Zwift. The session consisted of four laps with an optional mini-race to finish things off.
Thanks to Jamie for going in red today, good job 👍🏻

We started at a comfortable pace to warm up, gradually building to a steady 195–205 W average. The group stayed tight, adjusting effort for the ups and downs of the route.
Quite soon after the warm-up we had our first sprint.
Our first sprint came early and, after a brief split, everyone regrouped with the help of team pacing. A little group were a bit behind on their own pace. Thanks to Jamie the back stayed good together and came back to the main group. During the hills we always were together again and focused on the training ride. Let’s check out the sprint results:

Congrats to Chris for going in green and S. Winstone for the ladies – strong effort 💪🏻
After the sprints, we regrouped and prepared for the final mini-race—a fast 5.4 km blast. I adjusted the fence to ensure a fair start, then gave the “GO GO GO!” The pace ramped up quickly, with a determined group battling all the way to the line. One ride went quite early away from us. Half way trough some other riders went away from the main racing group. For the main group it came down to a nice sprint to the line.
Let’s check out the race results:

Results:
🥇 Chris
🥈 N. Hauglund
🥉 M. Kronborg
