Zwift-GGCC Glasgow Green Saturday Training Ride 10-01-2026

Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of the Champs-Élysées on the Zwift riding platform. In total it was a five lap training ride with an optional full lap mini-race at the end.
Thanks Jamie for leading the RB group today 👍🏻

We started during the lead-in with an easy pace around 2,6 W/kg. From the lap banner on I tried staying with around 195-205 W avg. over all. By going at a more lower and steady pace this ride was more a recovery ride for some. Before the sprints we had quite a long group giving our sprinters a good draft. Every sprint I pushed for getting a longer group for the sprinters, this was a little like an interval training.

The first sprint already was a good one, but the 2’nd gave us the best time possible today. Some could of course improve during the ride.Let’s check what numbers we got in the end:

Congrats to H. Thank You for going in green – good job 🏆

After the sprinting was done we prepared for the minirace, bringing the group back together. Slowly I pushed higher numbers for getting more blood into our legs. We brought the fence slowly down to 2sec. This ensured a fair start for our racers. From the lap banner I gave the GO GO GO and the race was on. Quite early some riders tried riding away from the now faster going peloton. But every time some tried we could catch up to them.

The more kilometers we put into the last lap, the more some racers tried to push even harder. The last kilometer they pushed as hard as they could to get first over the line. At the end it was a good group sprint.
Let’s check the final results:

Congrats to H. Thank You 🥇, Pixelz 🥈 and RMartin B. 🥉 on the podium.

Thanks to all for coming and riding with GGCC today.

For more details check out Zwift Power.

Of course, we also have the results for the lap and the orange jersey – good times folks:
