Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of London on the Zwift riding platform. It was a three-lap training ride on my favorite UK course: “Greater London Flat”.
Thanks to Jam for going in red today — good job 👍🏻

For the lead-in we started at 2,6W/kg. After that, I settled into a 195-200 W avg. effort at 71 kg, and for the last lap I lifted it to 205 W avg. Right before the first sprint (which is the end of the lead-in) I pushed the power a little more. Some of the sprinters already tried their legs early — and our best time came on the 2’nd lap.
Let’s check out who got the green jersey:

Congrats to G and S.Y for the ladies for going in green 🏆
After the sprints, we focused on our upcoming optional minirace. I ramped up the pace to get some blood into the legs before going hard.
As always, we started the optional minirace from our beloved shopping building, Harrods. For a while we had a nice group together, and from the bump after the tunnel we really started to move. Close to the finish line, some riders went for it for real — and following them, we built a strong second group that stayed quite hot as well.
In the end it came down to a hard sprint. Let’s check out the results:

Congrats to T. Kim 🥇, G 🥈 and H. Imars 🥉 on the podium.
For more details check out the results on Zwift Power.
Thanks to all rider for coming and having fun with us today.
