Today I was leading our GGCC team through the virtual streets of Watopia on the Zwift riding platform. We did the “Jarvis Seaside Sprint” today. For most of our riders this was the first time on this course. For the GGCC Saturday ride is definitely was the first time using this course. As always we had some good sprints and an optional mini-race at the end of the ride.
Thanks Jam for going in red today – Good job mate!

Because of the Jarvis KOM Reverse this course is a little challenging keeping the group together.
As always we started a little slower and during the course we went higher up in pace. During the first lap we reached 195W avg, the 2’nd we hit 200W avg. Before the optional minirace we were around 203W avg. We stayed quite good together overall, it was a good training session.
Our sprinters had also a good job to do with the two sprints each lap. Let’s check the sprint results:

Congrats to K. Hinton for both sprint jerseys – great job 🏆
After we did all the sprinting we could finally focus on the minirace to come. But first we went still higher up in pace for getting even more blood into our legs. From the Jarvis Lap Rv. banner, around 5,3km left, we started our optional minirace. Right from the start we had a good pace. Our racers went with all they had left in their legs towards the finish line. We stayed good together as a group until the ramp before the long downhill towards the line.
Some could still sprint the last meters. Let’s check the results:

Congrats T. Bonde 🥇, Martin B. 🥈 and Puncture ssung 🥉 on the podium – strong racing guys.
We also have some good numbers from the KOM and the very last sprint at the end:

Thanks to all for coming and having fun with us today.
